Registration of new furniture

Furniture/inventory that does not exist in the system must be created.

It is often appropriate to create a batch/set of "empty" objects, then print sheets with QR codes and have this ready for later use. At a later stage, one can mark a given piece of furniture with one QR code and register additional data, images etc. for that particular object.

Print QR-code labels

To print QR codes in advance, do this:

  1.  Open the SIRK:tag app on your mobile, or go to https://tag.sirktek.com, and log in with your username/password
  2. (possibly create a new user in SIRK:tag)
  3. On the "Home" screen in SIRK:tag, under "What do you want to do?", select "Print a new batch of labels"
    1. Alternatively,  go to the "Batch" page (using the menu), and click the  " + Create batch" button at the bottom of the page, and thenselect  "Also create new objects"
  4. Give the batch a name and choose the number of new objects (set to 680 by default)
  5. After pressing "Save", you will be taken to the batch you just created
    1. You can later find this party by going to "Batch" on the menu bar at the bottom, and then searching for the name
    2. or go to "Batch" on the menu bar at the bottom, press the "Scan QR Code" button, then scan a tag/QR code you know belongs to this batch
  6. Either download the QR-codes in the batch as PDF:
    1. Tap "PDF" under the list of objects
    2. Select the correct format, this is most likely "A4_5x8..." and press "Download PDF"
    3. You will now receive a PDF with the QR codes for this new batch.
    4. These can be printed on the desired labels (NB: These must fit the format you choose). If a new format is desired, send an inquiry to support@sirktek.no
  7. ...or download a CSV-file containing all objects from the batch
    1. Tab "CSV" under the list of objects
    2. Send this file to your printing partner, which will find the necessary information for printing the qr codes in the batch.

Label and register the actual objects

At a later stage, the furniture must be labeled with the completed, printed qr-codes.

  1. Open the SIRK:tag app on your mobile, or go to https://tag.sirktek.com, and log in with your username/password
  2. Attach the label to the piece of furniture
  3. Scan the QR code in SIRK:tag, or search for the tag id
  4. Press the [ Edit ] button at the bottom of the page to add the name, status, location, categories, etc. for the piece of furniture.
  5. From the edit form you can also take pictures or upload images and documents.
